Medal / Plaque is edge marked Medallic Art Co NY and FINE SILVER (all as seen). This rare .999 Lincoln/Brenner plaque is edge marked #158 of a presumed 250 serial numbered examples struck. Past sales for this seldom seen and very desired Lincoln/Brenner plaque are as low as $525 to as much as $1,500 in choice condition as many have surface issues that cause the plaque to look dullish in appearance. The actual mint finish on this one is excellent and I would go so far as to say this is likely one of the finer examples I have ever seen if not the actual finest !! A significant point of interest, these rare Lincoln/Brenner plaques especially this Official one struck in .999 pure Silver are desired by Lincoln Cent collectors. Victor Brenner was commissioned by President Theodore Roosevelt to create a design to be used for the 100th anniversary of Lincoln’s birth and redesign of the US Cent. This portrait was the designed and actually adopted for that change in 1907 and still in use today.
