With Gasket on the bottom of the spout OD is 1-9/16″, length is 9″ long and tip has two holes, one for venting. This Spout & Parts Kit designed for Scepter Brand Cans, however, this particular « fix your gas can kit » with Vintage Style Spouts works perfect for some other plastic cans like Moeller, Midwest, Eagle PG & KP series, RotopaX & Kolpin plastic cans if Scepter Screw Cap Collar 05765 fits on their gas, diesel, kerosene and water containers. -1 Scepter Screw Cap Collar 05765 (retaining ring holds the spout to the can).-1 Stopper Seal Disc (AKA Dust Cap) JS1710 Sits semi-snug on the tip of the spout (does not screw on, it is a Dust Cap only to keep dirt and debris from entering the spout tip). Also used as a Stopper and fits into the Screw Cap Collar when hiding the spout inside of the can. The Gasket on the end of the spout is the seal between the Collar, Stopper and Can, so be sure your Spout Gaskets are in good condition. Start with an empty can, Drill 1/2″ hole at the back of your plastic can above the fill line, insert vent cap and pop it in gently with a rubber mallet. We suggest you drill a smaller hole to start with and work your way up to the 1/2″ drill bit. Be sure to drill a straight clean hole don’t swagger side to side with the bit so you won’t make a bigger hole than you need. The Vent cap needs to sit in tight to give a good seal.
