He purchased it from a school district surplus sale. To my knowledge – and from the looks of it – he most likely never used it!!! This is a SALE listing for a Swift Model M250 series Microscope. It is advertised as being ideal for elementary to high school classrooms with advanced school grade scope, turret lenses AND a calibrated platform & light source. Cosmetically it is in EXTREMELY nice condition with hardly any sign of previous use. A little dusty from protective storage. I note only ONE tiny/small scratch above the right focus knob – See photo #3. Obviously this microscope has seen very LIMITED previous use.
